So, why the Laptop Lifestyle Giveaway? It's simple! With summer approaching, it's the time for vacation and getting away. For entrepreneurs, that can also mean taking our work with us and learning how to be location independent.

I also have another ulterior motive: this giveaway is specifically for online entrepreneurs who have an email list size of 100 to 2,500 subscribers.

Why would I do something like that?

That's another simple answer. Even though online giveaways are HOT right now, most of them have an email list size requirement of 3,000+ subscribers. If you have an email list of 2,500 subscribers or below, it's hard to get a spot on a giveaway. Ditto for telesummits!

So, I created this giveaway specifically for YOU! The online entrepreneur who is struggling to build their email list and would love to be on giveaways, telesummits, and participate in other JV collaborations but can't because you are judged by the size of your email list and not what you can bring to the table (sound familiar? I thought so!).

Social Media Ads for our events
We don't want to rely completely on our contributors for the opt-ins in our events. Besides, doesn't everyone want new leads?

Donation to charity
You don't see too many list-building events do this! Each one of our events has its own charity that it donates to. We've donated over $5,000 to various charities since 2019.

Rotation of gifts and products
We don't do the first come, first served or how many opt-ins determines if you're at the top of the page. We rotate the gifts and products so everyone has an equal chance of being seen.

Reminders to grab your gift/product
We send out reminders to the people who signed up (the opt-ins) to grab the free gifts/products in our list-building events. This means that more people grabbing your gift/product and more people onto your email list.

Leaderboard Contests
We have 3 different contests: Most Opt-Ins, Most Popular Product/Gift, and Best Conversion. The person who gets the most opt-ins shouldn't be the only person who gets recognized!

Connect with the other contributors
List-building events are a great way to find your next collaboration partner. That's why we have a private Facebook Group just for our contributors so they can connect with each other.

Personalized links on your graphics
We don't use the generic link on your promo graphics. After all, we want people going to YOUR link so you get the credit!

Statistics every week of the event
Every week we send out statistics so you know how you're doing. This gives you a chance to make tweaks to your landing page or go for it with one of our contests.

Know the Requirements

Promo Window: June 3-15, 2024

Contributor Fee: $0 - There are premium contributor spots available

Your Email List: Minimum of 100 warm and engaged subscribers You have been actively emailing your list at least 1 per week for 3+ months and promoted an offer (yours or someone else’s) to your list in the past 3 months. Your email list is comprised mostly of online entrepreneurs, speakers, coaches, mentors, and authors.

Commitment: 2 solo emails & 4 social media posts

Immediate Upsells: Upsells to paid programs (or newsletters that contain offers) during the giveaway are not allowed. One-time offers and tripwires ARE allowed on the thank you page of your free gift or in your funnel. Emails related to the free gift they’ve opted in for and leading up to your launch AFTER the giveaway are okay. 

 **Tripwires and One-time Offers up to $97 are allowed during your opt-in process. If it leads to a Discovery/Strategy Session, the session must be conducted AFTER the giveaway is over.** 

Step 2

Reserve Your Spot!

Reserve Your Spot: Even if you have made a written commitment to myself or my team via email that you’d like to participate, your spot is not secure until you have paid the contributor fee and your intake form has been submitted.

If you reserve your spot and myself or my team feel like your gift is not a match or too similar to another gift, we will work with you to find a solution. If we are unable to find a solution, we will refund your contributor fee.

Step 3

The Intake Form

The Intake Form: As soon as you reserve your spot, you’ll receive an email with a link to the intake form.  

Your form must be submitted by Wednesday, May 15, 2024. If it is not submitted by this time, your giveaway offer will not be included in the giveaway. 

Step 4

Create Your Free Giveaway Offer

2 Types of Offers: A "free for everyone" gift and a raffle prize.

A "free for everyone" gift is required. Everyone who opts in for your gift will receive this. There must be an unlimited number available and immediately accessible as soon as people opt in. Your "free for everyone" gift must be a checklist, guide, mini-course, template, training, script, or video series (It cannot be a coaching session, live masterclass or training, a service, or a webinar). 

A raffle prize is optional. People will enter a drawing to win this prize and YOU will decide how many winners you will draw (You will choose the winners AFTER the giveaway closes). Your raffle prize can be a tool, template, training, script, a service or a coaching session.

All gifts must help online entrepreneurs with their business and help them live the "laptop lifestyle" and be location independent. This could include topics around sales, social media, marketing, creating courses and programs, money mindset, time and productivity, self-care, and more.

Your Opt-in Page: Your opt-in page MUST include the following...

  • Title of your free gift for the giveaway
  • Description of the free gift for the giveaway and its benefits
  • A way for people to sign up to get the free gift for the giveaway

Your Thank You Page: Your thank you page MUST include the following...

  • A confirmation message for people who have opted in
  • Details on how to access the free gift for the giveaway  

The links to your pages must be submitted by May 15, 2024.
My team will be testing those links on May 16-17, 2024.

Promote the Giveaway

Promote the giveaway: You will be provided with promotional email copy, social media posts, and graphics. We will also have a special hashtag for the giveaway! 

The promotion window is June 3-15, 2024. All promotions MUST be done during this time.  

The giveaway only works if we ALL promote! This way, we grow and build TOGETHER.

Your Raffle Winners

Your Raffle Winners: You MUST choose your winners and provide myself and my team with your winners’ full names (first AND last) by June 17, 2024 at 5pm EDT OR EARLIER.  

You will notify your winners no later than June 21, 2024.

It's often said that getting out of the gate is the hardest part of building a business, especially when it comes to list-building. Yet Kristen Robinson lifted the velvet rope to exceeding talented entrepreneurs, despite having a modest list size, and created an incredible opportunity and an even better experience.  Even though I wasn't sure what to expect, Kristen blew me away!

We're also going to be giving back!

June is National PTSD Awareness Month and National PTSD Awareness Day is June 27. I have a big tug on my heart to give back to this cause.

As a military spouse, I see how PTSD can affect an individual life and their families first-hand. 

As a sister-in-law, it affects my family. My younger brother-in-law, did two 13 month tours in Afghanistan when he was an active duty Marine.

When my brother-in-law came back from his second tour in Afghanistan, he was different. He seemed moody and reclusive. After several months, it was found that my brother-in-law had PTSD. He chose not re-enlist in the Marine Corps but had a hard time adjusting to civilian life.

The ray of sunshine in his life was his dog, Deuce. Deuce was adopted when he was 8 weeks old and became a part of the family about a year before my brother-in-law became a Marine. Deuce waited patiently for 4 years for my brother-in-law to come home from the Marine Corps and be his full-time owner again. They had a special bond that was never dimmed nor broken during that time. When my brother-in-law had dark days, it was Deuce who would bring him out of it and helped him adjust.  

As you can tell, PTSD is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. It affects me personally in my family and it affects my military family as well. For this giveaway, $.50 for every opt-in received will go to Paws & Stripes.  

At Paws and Stripes, veterans are matched with shelter dogs and they are trained as teams by highly trained service dog trainers. All of the training is paid for through donations. They believe in saving lives, together, two at a time. Veterans are never obligated to pay a penny for successfully completing the program. The number of military veterans returning from combat with PTSD is staggering, but service dogs can help them live better lives.
